More than 150 guests gathered to celebrate the 29th Annual Alzheimer's
Association Chicago Rita Hayworth Gala "Time Is of The Essence" Kick-Off
Party on Monday, March 14th at iconic Jenn-Air Master Class Studio in the Reid
Murdoch building downtown Chicago.
Guests wined and dined under the Jenn-Air Master Class Studio's big clock, a
perfect tie-in to the gala's theme, "Time is of the Essence." Attendees were
treated to culinary delights by some of the city's top chefs including Brian Enyart
and Jennifer Jones Enyart (Dos Urban Cantina), Ryan Pitts (RL Restaurant) and
Paul Virant (Vie Restaurant and Perennial Virant.)
The Chicago gala committee is led by co-chairs June D. Barnard and Maggie
Murzanski. And this kickoff is in anticipation of the Rita Hayworth Gala on
Mother's Day eve, May 7th. This annual spring black tie event attracts more than
800 guests and includes a cocktail reception with the high-energy CoverGirls
violin show, three-course dinner, program, auctions and live music by Orchestra
33. Princess Yasmin Aga Khan, Rita Hayworth's daughter, will serve once again
as general chair of the event. The 29th Annual Rita Hayworth Gala would not be
possible without support from presenting sponsor Joan and Paul Rubschlager.
All proceeds raised through the Chicago Rita Hayworth Gala events support the Alzheimer's
Association's care, care support and research programs.
