Now in its ninth year, Chicago Gourmet, featured some of the most celebrated culinary masterminds during a weekend filled with cooking demonstrations, book signings, food and wine seminars, countless tastings and more. This year welcomed its first-ever Host Chef, the renowned Rick Bayless, and a theme that came to life throughout the weekend: Food Is Art!

The event featured cooking demonstrations on the Bon Appétit Main Stage and Bon Appétit Culinary Stage designed by Thermador. Led by esteemed celebrity chefs throughout the day, headliners included Rick Bayless, Art Smith, Lorena Garcia, Tony Mantuano, Carlos Gaytan, Jimmy Bannos Jr. and others. NFL Homegating also debuts the Slider Zone and invited guests to create personalized sliders with the essential fixings and team-branded serve ware, and then capture it all on the Slider Cam. Blue Cash Everyday® Card from American Express tent hosted an intimate meet & greet with Chef Sarah Grueneberg of the award-winning Monteverde, recently named one of Bon Appétit’s best new restaurants in America. The BBQ, Beer & Bourbon Pavilion presented by COUNTRY Financial featured more than 15 Chicago chefs, serving up barbecued goodness from around the city on the South Promenade. Also brews from countless renowned brewing companies and live music all weekend long!

In partnership with EXPO Chicago, Art Institute of Chicago and Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Millennium Park will be home to art installations and exhibitions throughout Millennium Park from a range of artists – many of them Chicago-based.
