Nando’s PERi-PERi Kicks Off Holidays with
“Friends, Giving” Platter, Feeding
Someone in Need with Every Platter Sold
In the holiday spirit, Nando's PERi-PERi launched the “Friends, Giving” platter for the month of
November. Guests who buy the platter will be helping to feed Chicago area families in need. For
every “Friends, Giving” platter sold, Nando’s will donate to Inspiration Corporation for every platter
sold at a Nando’s in and around Chicago.
The “Friends, Giving” platter feeds 2-3 people, and is perfect for families and friends sharing a meal this holiday season. It includes a whole flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken - basted to each guest’s preferred flavor and spice - plus a side of garlic mashed potatoes and our roasted Brussels sprouts.
Nando’s “Friends, Giving” promotion is also good at all Nando’s in the Washington area, where Nando’s will donate to DC Central Kitchen for every platter sold at a Nando’s in and around Washington.
Inspiration Corporation of Chicago is a catalyst for self-reliance. In an atmosphere of dignity and respect, Inspiration Corporation helps people who are affected by homelessness and poverty to improve their lives and increase self-sufficiency through the provision of social services, employment training and placement, and housing. Inspiration Corporation was founded in 1989 by Lisa Nigro, a police officer who was searching for a personal response to the people she encountered on her beat.
DC Central Kitchen’s mission is to use food as a tool to strengthen bodies, empower minds, and build communities. As the nation’s first and leading community kitchen, DC Central Kitchen develops and operates social ventures targeting the cycle of hunger and poverty in the DMV. It fights hunger by training jobless adults for culinary careers and then hiring dozens of its own graduates to prepare the 3 million meals it provides for homeless shelters, schools, and nonprofits each year.
