Taste of River North 2011

The chic River North scene took center stage for a 10th consecutive year at the Taste
of River North, Friday, July 15th through Sunday, July 17th, presented by East Bank
Club and hosted by the River North Residents Association. Located in and around
sprawling A. Montgomery Ward Park, the annual fest is a world apart from the
craziness that just was Taste of Chicago. The refined trendy event gives discerning
palates and casual art lovers a gratifying taste of the best of everything the stylish
River North neighborhood has to offer along a picturesque riverfront setting.

There was something for everyone at ToRN, the festival that reflects the
extraordinary characteristics of its environs: spectacular food and world-class art
and design. ToRN also places heavy emphasis being environmentally-friendly; offering
guests innovative recycling options and a convenient location easy to reach by
walking, biking, or public transportation. Having grown each year in size, scope and
attendance, fest-goers this monumental anniversary season will enjoy three days of
fantastic River North cuisine, artists, merchants, live music, and a children's fun area -
along with some of Chicago's most impressive river and architectural views.

The Restaurants
ToRN's main emphasis is on the local restaurant scene, the highest concentration in
the city. Everything featured at ToRN is selected based on its popularity in the
neighborhood. The area's top chefs dish out fabulous gastronomy creations above
and beyond anything served up at typical street fests.
