More than 1,000 of Chicagoland’s finest young philanthropists joined Lincoln Park Zoo’s Auxiliary Board the 4th annual Zoo-ologie event, raising more than $175,000 to support new zoo initiatives such as the Regenstein Macaque Forest.

The annual fete celebrated the whimsical beauty of the zoo’s Nature Boardwalk, with inspired décor by The Flower Firm and thematic lighting provided by Sound Investment. VIP guests started off the evening by having a chance to snap a photo with a snake, pose with an armadillo and smile with a turtle and then headed up to the zoo’s iconic Café at Wild Things.

The evening featured dining delicacies from partners at Bottlefork, Nick’s Fishmarket, Seasons 52, Two, Wow Bao, Ay Chiwowa! Rockit Burger Bar, Sunda, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Vanille, Hash House a Go Go, Black Dog Gelato, RA Sushi, Freestyle, Frontier, R.J. Grunts, Barn & Company, Hubbard Inn, Lincoln Avenue Social, Old Town Social and Karyn’s Café.

Guests busted a move among the big cats thanks to the musical stylings of DJ Rock City and the soulful songs performed by Spoken Four. The AT&T Endangered Species Carousel was also in full swing, giving guests a 360 view of the party and the wildlife at Chicago’s zoo.

This year’s event was hosted by Co-Chairs Stephanie Eisel, Michelle Retzlaff and Dana Snodgrass, Auxiliary Board President Annessa Staab and the rest of Lincoln Park Zoo’s Auxiliary Board.

Event also featured silent auction items that ranged from a signed Chicago Blackhawks hockey stick from the 2013 Stanley Cup Champions to round-trip tickets across the globe, compliments of United Airlines.
